Summer
Clerkship
I felt that I was part of the Weld, Riley, Prenn
and Ricci team as soon as I started.
Summer Clerkship 2007
I really enjoyed my experience at Weld, Riley, Prenn and Ricci as the Summer 2007 Law Clerk. I felt that I was part of the Weld, Riley, Prenn and Ricci team as soon as I started. The attorneys took the time to include me in their projects on a regular basis. I was included in depositions, court appearances, client meetings and anything they felt would be a valuable experience to my legal education. When attorneys assigned me projects, they always welcomed my questions and used each situation as a teaching experience. The attorneys were always very approachable and have an “open door” policy.
Throughout the summer, I was given engaging legal projects in each of the firm’s main practice areas. I split my time between the Labor and Employment, Litigation and Business and Municipal sections of the law firm. From writing legal memorandum and briefs to drafting motions to the court, I felt each project was preparing me for my legal career.
At the end of my clerkship with Weld, Riley, Prenn and Ricci, I left for my third year of law school feeling I had gained a tremendous amount of practical legal experience.
Weld, Riley engaged me with challenging projects and helped my legal research and writing to be more efficient, effective and focused. I feel my clerkship helped develop my interest in business and real property law, as well as my interest in litigation. I wholeheartedly recommend a summer clerkship at Weld, Riley, Prenn and Ricci to any law student looking to have a truly substantive summer clerkship experience.
The best part of my summer clerkship experience was the employment offer I received at the end of the summer. I am now an Associate in the Business and Litigation sections of Weld, Riley, Prenn and Ricci.
