Since joining the firm, she has concentrated almost exclusively on worker's compensation defense, representing and advising employers and their insurance carriers on the subject of work injuries.

Melissa earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, with a major in public administration and minors in both speech communication and political science. Melissa received her law degree from the University of San Diego.

Melissa is a member of the Eau Claire County Bar Association, the Chippewa County Bar Association, the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Association of Worker's Compensation Attorneys.
