Ryan J. Steffes

Ryan practices in the areas of employment law, general litigation and appellate law.

Ryan is a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment and Litigation Sections.  He defends employers on a wide spectrum of employment matters, including breach of contract claims, wage and hour disputes, unemployment compensation disputes and discrimination claims filed under the Wisconsin Fair Employment Act.  He also represents a wide range of clients in general litigation and appellate matters.

When defending clients, Ryan utilizes his skills and expertise to resolve cases as efficiently as possible.  Ryan has defended and prosecuted cases in both state and federal courts throughout Wisconsin.

Prior to attending law school, Ryan worked as a professional caddie at several world-famous golf courses.  Ryan still enjoys spending time with clients and friends on the area courses.

Ryan graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry and he received his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School. Ryan is a member of the Wisconsin State Bar Association and the Eau Claire Bar Association. Ryan is married and resides with his wife and daughter in Altoona.
