Melissa A. Kirschner

Melissa works in civil litigation and worker's compensation defense.  She also advises and represents insurers in coverage disputes.  She has a special interest in assisting clients with Medicare Secondary Payer Act compliance and is a Medicare Set-Aside Consultant, certified by the International Commission on Health Care Certification.

Prior to joining the firm in 2004, Melissa worked as an insurance defense civil litigator, in Wisconsin and Minnesota, for both a private law firm and as an in-house attorney for a national insurance company.

Melissa earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, with a major in public administration and minors in speech and political science. Melissa received her law degree from the University of San Diego in 1996.

Melissa is a member of the Eau Claire County Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, and the Wisconsin Association of Worker's Compensation Attorneys, where she is currently a board member. 

She is also a board member of the Eau Claire Figure Skating Club, where her daughters skate.  She enjoys traveling with her husband and their three daughters.
